Paintball Brings its Show to Vegas
Las
Vegas, NVPaintball teams from all over the world battled for
over $125,000 in cash and prizes in front of thousands of spectators
at the NPPL Super 7 World Series.
The
National Professional Paintball League presented the second of seven
action sports events in the United States and Europe with top paintball
teams competing for the 2003 World Series Championship. This unique
event included a free concert headlined by B-Real from Cypress Hill
and Everlast, as well as
top teams from around the world competing against each other at
Sam Boyd Stadium.
The
Las Vegas event showcased top professional and amateur teams from
Russia, France, Sweden, Finland, Canada, Mexico, England and teams
from across the United States including Hawaii and Alaska, all competing
for over $125,000 in cash and prizes. Glenn Forester, owner of Warped
Sportz Paintball in Los Angeles said, I think the new NPPL
Super 7 World Series is just what paintball needs. It pits the best
teams in the world, playing for one title, in the worlds best
cities, for the most prize money. Huntington Beach champions,
Dynasty from San Diego, repeated their win in Las Vegas and took
home top honors in the Professional Division along with a check
for $20,000.
The years first event in Huntington Beach drew an estimated
60,000 spectators, and again in Las Vegas, thousands flocked to
check out paintball, the third largest action sport in the world.
The next stops for the NPPL Super 7 World Series are Chicago in
June, France in July, New York in August, England in September and
the grand finale, The Commanders Cup held in Miami, Florida this
October.
