7-Below Wins Indoor Tourney
It was cold outside, but the action inside the arena was hot as Cousins Indoor Paintball in Hauppauge, NY, hosted the second of three tournaments in its Winter Warm-up 3-man series.

Twenty-two teams were psyched and ready to take home the first prize Toxic Impulse markers. 7-Below made it to the top, beating Breakthrough in the semi-finals and, finally, defeating Fatal Red for the first place finish.

Despite the loss, Fatal Red made a strong showing, coming in fourth in the preliminaries and second overall.

Breakthrough broke out to take third place, beating Turmoil in a three-and-a-half minute game that exploded with action in the final 30 seconds.

CT Turmoil made their trip from Connecticut worth the trouble, quietly edging into a first-place finish in the prelims and taking fourth, overall. Not bad for the team who, before the games, said that they were just looking for a little winter time competition before the start of tournament season.

The top eight teams earned an array of prizes, including equipment by Toxic, Viewloader, Dye, JT, Mantis and Cousins.

In addition to sponsoring the tournament, Cousins Paintball continues to show its commitment to up-and-coming paintballers with several new team sponsorships this year. Cousins Paintball and Generation E Sports sponsored seven teams at the event, including the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, which finished fifth in its tournament debut.

Many of the teams are looking forward to another chance to strut their stuff at the third tournament in this series, taking place at 5 p.m. March 13.

Congratulations, again, to all the players and the field refs, who, as always, did a great job!
